What is with all this recent Blaphemy on the homie Pac? What is this "lyrical" term everyones always talkin about. How do we define this? Who defines this? To me it means lyrics...and someone who is lyrical quite simply has got some dope lyrics. Does it have to be ALL about metaphors and rhyming big words?? I don't think so. Let's define that first before you go disrespecting the work of this game's brightest and most influential.

Scolla, I See What He's Saying...Though He's Dickryding...When He Says "Lyricism"...He's Leaning Towards Complexity...Tupac Was Never A Complex Artist...People Loved Him And Related To Him Because Of How He Conveyed His Message...It's True That He Worded His Lyrics Well...But His Charisma And Emotion Carried Him Into The Legend Category...I Think You Would Agree...When It Comes To Vocabulary, Metaphors, Rhyme Scheme...People Like Nas, Jay, Common Are Better...But His Charisma...Emotion...And Everything Of That Nature Cannot Be Matched...`And What I Think He Means By "Jay Is Number One"...Is That Jay Is Arguably The Most Balanced Rappers Out There...He Doesnt Oversaturate His Rhmyes With Huge Words And Multie Syllable Rhymes To The Point That His Meaning Gets Lost...It's Just My Personal Preference...Rappers Like Immortal Technique Have Great Lyrics But They Seem To Over Power Every Other Aspect Of Rap...So Their Charisma Lacks...And Their Flow Is Only "Decent"...But Ehh...It's Only My Opinion

Oh, i been seeing what he's saying...i know he's going on complexity and such....but why are we basing lyrics on complexity?

The reason i say this is because about 5 years back when 50 was still fresh...Jay-z was asked who is top 5 lyracists were in the game and he included 50. The interviewer got confused where Jay then told him he doesn't think lyracism is all about complex shit....and thats why Pac is considered one of the greatest EMCEE's ever.

I co-sign that 100%...because when we tie lyracism to EMCEE'ing....no fuckin can you say to me that Common is a better Emcee than Pac...

Of course, throw complexity in the formula....but what other factors are in the formula? what weight are we designating for each component?

Its a very vague word...Lyracist....needs to be defined because its different to different people....one thing is for sure tho...Clark Kent's corny ass CANNOT be in charge of it

Yea I See What You're Saying...Too Each It's Own I Guess...I Find Myself Using Complex/Lyricist Interchangeably Also...I Need To Fix That...

So Lets Reach A Consensus...

Pac Is One Of The All Time GREATEST Lyricists Of ALL TIME

But When It Comes To Complexity...He Falls A Bit Short

Agreed?

O Yea And We Both Agree Clark Is A Nut Ridin Son Of A Monkey
